Breakdown, part 2.

Life happens . Its how we handle the the situations that arise. Problems will come and go in this world . Take the good with the bad, so after we realized that nobody was coming to save us I decided to try one more thing on the bus to get it started. I took off the new fuel filter and put the old one back on. Why? I dont know it just came to me . I read that if somethuing happens different after you just did someyhing new or changed something on your vehicle try looking at what you just did and the problem may be there. So I did. I put the old filter back on that I changed a week ago and it worked!

The bus started up and we drove away to the mechanics shop in Crescent City. Disaster averted. For now. I think the “new” filter was not sealing well enough and air was getting into the fuel system causing an air lock situation. So the shop ordered a part that we needed cause once we got there we noticed a crack in a fuel line as well so we sat there for 5 days in the parking lot waiting for the part. Christina and her family found a campsite not too far away and stayed there for the duration. Meanwhile we got word from our renter up in BC that forest fires were close to the land and they were being issued an evacuation order! Holy. A fire caused by lightning was growing to out of controll proportions just behind our place. Now things were getting real! Ok I thought , all of our assests are tied up in our place up there, we are suppopsed to sell our shares and improvements to Lisa, our renter, this summer and that is our money to pay off our family loan and make a new start somewhere else. And it could all just go up in flames, quickly. That was one situation we did not have contol of and still took some doing to trust and know that this is part of the Plan for our family in some way shape or form. The more I accept that God has a plan for all of us and every situation is part of that bigger plan rthen I can let go easier and trust in life. Lots of prayers and morning meditation for me this week I was able to make a couple AA meetings which is always helpful. Inanna seemed able to accept the situation with grace I can see all of her inner work and growth is paying off. She never ceases to inspire me !

After a long wait for the fuel line to come we had it put in and were back on the road heading north. The plan was to rendevous in Astoria with Christina and spend a day together before they headed back up to Canada and into the fire zone. I tried two different shops to read the code for the check engine light but both didnt have the right software to pull the codes from the computer, dang. So with the light still coming on intermittently, and still low power on the hills we started out on 101 driving north on the highway thinking the scan tool I ordered from O’rilyeys will be in Florence just a few hours away, then I will be able to see what is going on with the bus. I settled into my cruising mode and was loving the coastal sea scape, rugged coastline views, sea stacks, crashing surf and dappled sunshine filled my view and I took a deep breath and fell into a nice peacfull moment that all is well. I opened the sliding window to take in more fully the salty sea air and wind in my hair when I heard this god awlful scrapping noise from the rear! What the heck is that? Inanna yelled “pull over pull over”, Oh my god , I thought, what now! I pulled off the highway and ran back behind the bus to see what was dragging. then it hit me, again. dread. The entire tounge of the trailer was on the ground, busted , broke, bent and done. Really, really? wow. Is this still part of the Plan?
