Oregon Country Faire

Wow , what an amazing event! After 3 days of walking around the festival everyone is wooped. We drove down to Eugene and meet our friends Christina, Ayla and Samara from Slocan. They pulled up in a car and pop up camper ready for action. They arrived just as we were getting kicked out of another Walmart parking lot! Seems the bigger city stores have more on the ground security and when they see our big rig they just assume were gonna camp out for a while and whip up a batch of crystal meth! The OCF was just a few miles down the road so we headed there to get our site and set up. Big open grassy fields to park in so we had lots of space and it felt cozy at the same time once people started filling in the spaces in between the bigger rigs. On the way down to Eugene the dreaded “check engine light” came on in the bus.

It went off after a bit but now is coming on after start up and staying on till it warms up. Sooo, I need to get a sscan tool from the auto parts store so I can read the code and figure out what it is. I did not notice any performance changes on the highway but it does seems to not have as much power on the hills…So hopefully I’ll find one soon and figure it out.

The heat was intense all 3 days at the fest, around 90 dgrees every day, it cooled off at night but not till around 10pm!

The girls had a sweet time especially cause their friends were there and Nowa meet some cool kids at the campsite and played all day with them into the warm summer nights throwing glow stix and playing chase. For the first time I was able to sleep up on the roof deck. Felt really fun to spend the night under the stars and fresh air, I slept hard until dawn when the birds began their chorus. Once I put up a railing the kids can sleep up here too. Looking forward to building a ladder too so access will be easier. All of our feet hurt Mondsay morning after all our walking and we packed up our camp and rolled out early afternoon to begin the drive south to Klamath.
