Port Townsend
We have been looking for a spot to park here in and around this town. A place we can sit for a while but it has not happened. I love this town, I have a hisrtory here. This quaint seaside port was where my first college field trip was. A beautiful old victorian town with old wooden boats floating in the harbor, a lighthouse and the smell of low tide lingering on the breeze. So we’ve been moving the bus around each night to a different spot to park with real good luck. No hassles, no cops bothering us so its been working. During thre day we go out to a state park , Fort Warden, and park next to the sea. Its been great. Inanna goes into the library on her bike and spends the day working on her website, which is now finished and published! Congradulations ! Its been a big hurdle for her but she pulled it off and it looks great. During the days I take Nowa on adventures into the old abandoned fort. Mostly concrete tunnels and rooms that were used back in the 1930’s as a gun battery to protect Puget Sound from ouitside naval attack. Lots of trails and beaches to explore so its been fun to be here for this time and really see how lucky I am to have this chance to be with him at this age and not be off working away from home 5 days a week. This is a precious time and even though it gets hard at times we still get to do this. Be together. Were together and I find strength in that, knowing that no matter what comes if were together we can weather it.
More good news this week, after going thtough the festival net website more, I found 4 more events we can go to in July. So I applied to all of them and so far have confirmation for 2 of them. Which means we will be leaving here tomorrow to head back south a ways for the first one which is in Longview, WA. Its a big 4th of July carnival , a 3 day event so should be a good turnout if the weather holds.
Also this week , I was re-connected with an old friend from grade school on Facebook . She said she has been looking for me for over 15 years. I’ve enjoyed messaging with her and catching up. Now that I’m on the radar I have all these friend requests coming in and its a bit overwhelming and not sure about responding to them…
