Short days, busy weeks.
The days pass now quickly. Already into January we’ve been housesitting for Val and Zach for a couple weeks now. They are off to Peru to see her family. So our weekly labor hour commitment is now mostly used in animal care, feeding goats, chickens and the dog, Chi Cha. I have a few projects on the go here as well. A pile of brush to mulch , some minor carpentry jobs, some painting and plumbing things. Inanna has started teaching Enki online 3 days a week. Ivy is in her class so they both need different computers and spaces to do the class. Right now it works because the were housesitting and Inanna can use the house for class and Ivy can use the bus. I usually take Nowa out and find adventure in and around the land or in Bisbee proper. When Val and Zach return we will need to figure something else out at the end of the month. I also picked up some painting work off the land with a guy I met at a AA meeting. I’ve been painting for him part time a couple days a week. And we have the craft market on week ends in Tuscon. Inanna stays back in Bisbee while the kids and I drive the bus 2 hours and set up the booth for 3 days. We camp in the parking lot on site and sell spinners and Aura’s art. Baskets are not selling. So our bread and butter are the spinners. We pack it all up sunday afternoon and drive back to Bisbee. Right now we have to stop in Tombstone and spend the night parked off the highway because the headlights on the bus keep shutting off while I drive. No rhyme or reason they just click off then come back on after 30 seconds. So until I can fix them we cant drive at night. I think its a relay or a solenoid, hopefull something easy…
So we are busy. Weeks are full and life rolls on . The weather here is cold mornings and warm by late morning. Usually sunny and clear. Starting to piece together a plan for Spring. Following markets and community feels like the general direction. Seems like March might be time to head out. Right now we’ll wait and see what happens with Full Disclosure. Maybe that will guide us if it indeed sees the light of day. Hang on dear friends could be a wild ride, yee haw!
